Electric Friend examines human relationships through the lens of computer algorithms and artificial intelligence. The photographer captures 3D scans of the subjects, preserving a digital replica of their physical presence for future encounters in virtual spaces. In the process of reconstructing these meetings, the software introduces artifacts and glitches—an unintended yet integral part of the new photographic image. Here, the relationship between author and subject is mediated by software, which now influences how memories of these physical interactions are preserved.

Does the software have its own aesthetic or philosophical intention in shaping the final image? Or are these distortions merely the result of human error and the limitations of the algorithm? A dialogue between the author and an AI agent aims to explore the potential for new creative and intimate partnerships in our digital future.
